Adult Literacy

The Adult Literacy Program provides reading and language instruction for the adult population in the community.  In collaboration with the Lodi Public Library, adults from the area meet once a week with tutors from Vinewood Church to increase their language acquisition and improve reading ability.  Volunteers are excited to see learners gain skills in order to assist with their children's education, to move up in the workplace, and to become integrated into the local community.

Feed The Hungry

The fourth Sunday of each month Vinewood partners with Lodi Community Church to prepare a hearty warm breakfast and sack lunches to feed the hungry of Lodi.

National Night Out

Each August Vinewood hosts an annual National Night Out event for the community where neighbors and the local police and fire departments have an opportunity to become acquainted encouraging a safe and caring community. Games, bounce houses, refreshment are provide for all ages.

Trunk or Treat

Vinewood Church serves the families of the community by offering an event, Trunk or Treat on Halloween evening, October 31st , from 5:30 to 7:30

Operation Christmas Child

The story of the Good Samaritan gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. Samaritan's Purse is an nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.  Beginning in October, Vinewood Church will begin filling shoe boxes filled with personal items and toys for children in need. These will be collected in November to be sent to distribution centers. You are invited to join us.   Click on the button below for more information about Samaritan's Purse.

Christmas Season Outreach

COAT DRIVE - During the month of December there is always a need for warm coats, scarves, mittens, hats and blankets. CHRISTMAS ANGELS - This is an opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for a child who might not otherwise have a gift on Christmas. CHRISTMAS BELL RINGING - During the month of December, Vinewood has been a part of ringing the bell at Raley's for the Salvation Army for many years.  This is a major fundraiser for the Salvation Army.  Come on and ring a bell!

Lodi House

A non-profit agency that was established to provide shelter for homeless women and children.  In addition to shelter, Lodi House provides food, advocacy, counseling and numerous workshops on a wide variety of topics.  We serve women and children in our community that have been displaced from their homes who need a second chance.

Directions Medical Clinic (previously PRC)

Women facing the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy need a lot of love and support.  You can help in a variety of ways: Prayer line, receptionist, prayer team, client advocate, earn while you learn mentor, teach a workshop, baby boutique, help with mailings, church liaison and fundraisers.

Love Lodi

The next Love Lodi is scheduled for April 18, 2020.  Click on the "Find Out More" button for website. In 2018 over 1,300 volunteers completed 68 community service projects! We completed projects for 12 non-profit organizations, area parks, local schools, and the city of Lodi.  We hosted parties at residential care facilities, visited shut-ins, and helped veterans.  All this was made possible by our volunteers, the support of our community, our business partners and our sponsors.
